ipod touch won't sync anymore

I bought an ipod touch (6th gen) 2 weeks ago. It synced ok with my PC with latest Windows installed. I plugged the ipod in with the Apple cable that came with it and yesterday it wouldn't sync with iTunes. The ipod logo doesn't even show up. It's charging ok though. I've tried reinstalling iTunes, using all 3 USB slots, reinstalling the drivers but nothing works. I'm considering resetting the ipod to factory settings but I'm worried I won't be able to use it again after. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be grateful! Thanks!

I just tried it on another computer and it still would not sync, so must be a problem with my ipod rather than my PC

- Try on another computer to help determine if computer or iPod problem

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
